ICA is a leading Telecommunications Company based in Stockport. Established in 1995 we are a well-respected and successful company within our B2B sector. We are currently expanding our Network Service Department therefore we have a fantastic opportunity for an apprentice to join our expanding Network’s team.

This is a mixed and varied office based role which reports into the Network Services Manager. The successful individual will answer inbound calls and transfer to the correct person or department, along with assisting with customer service enquiries by updating customers with orders and fault progress.

Additionally, we would like to develop the role further over time offering full training of telecoms product knowledge such as WLR, broadband, PBX, tariffs, billing, fixed line etc. 

You will have strong communication skills, work independently and on your own initiative, be computer literate, organised with attention to detail. 

Purpose of the Role

  • To provide assistance and support to the Network Services Department, including inbound call answering, administration of online portals and fault resolution.
  • To assist in placing orders for fixed lines and NGN’s, broadband etc.
  • To assist the customer service manager with follow up calls, data entry and filing.
  • Outbound calls to customers and suppliers to place orders and request updates.

 

Summary of Responsibilites and Duties

Main Duties and Responsibilities

To answer inbound calls, record the enquiries and pass to the relevant dept or complete the call until a resolution is found. 

  • To log and assist in the management of network-associated faults and escalate until resolved, this includes reporting the fault to the networks, liaising with the carriers such as BT, Plus-net etc. 
  • To carry out customer care calls on resolution of the fault and tests the lines.
  • To update the company CRM with relevant customer data.
  • To account manage billing customers.
  • To raise orders to the network suppliers and place orders on portals
  • To check the portals daily and advice customers on any progress or changes
  • To share and promote ideas within the team and team meeting.
  • To support the varying business functions
